August & September Were GREAT!! One day I was out on the patio and saw something move, out of the corner of my eye. Since living here I've found a Coral snake baby in my kitchen, a tarantula running across my bedroom ceiling. So, I've learned to pay attention when I see a movement.
Now, I realize it is difficult to tell the size of this without something to give it perspective....so I'll tell you that this is perched on the cover of my big Weber grill. It is a moth of some kind, with a wingspan across the top edge of about 10 inches.
Three days later, on the same Weber grill cover, this pre-historic looking bug appeared. The Probiscus (feeding tube) is so long that I couldn't get 3 inches of it into the photo without getting too far away that the bug couldn't be seen. I don't know what it is, but it was weird looking. We've got lots of weird looking things here. |
